As a member of the Latinx and LGBTQ+ community, and as someone who has worked closely with Alicia in the public sector, I know Alicia cares deeply for marginalized communities. As a lifelong Republican, I had to think long and hard about supporting a Democratic primary candidate for district judge. In the end, because judges do not actually write law or implement policy, I determined that my political alignment mattered far less than making sure the most qualified candidate from both parties appear on the ballot for the general election next November.
